Breaking a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #1) by Sarah Robinson

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to this book.

This story was really good. The beginning just grabs you and keeps you interested to the end. I really liked the development and progression of it. Rory was a good male character and Clare was a great leading lady, witty and a ball buster yet sweet and shy too. This was definitely a good introduction to the series and was my first read by this author.

Story, description from back of book:
As one of the big names at his family’s gym, Legends, MMA star Rory Kavanagh is used to being in the spotlight—until a gruesome leg injury knocks him out of the cage. Rory is left feeling sidelined in more ways than one, battling the inner demons that come with losing the one shot at his dreams. Then Clare walks into his life and gives him a new dream: winning her heart. There aren’t many new faces in Woodlawn these days, but this tough, beautiful stranger makes Rory want to get his life back into fighting shape.
Clare Ivers doesn’t think she’ll be able to tell anyone what really brought her to the close-knit Bronx neighborhood where she just started bartending. But her life’s on pause and her past is catching up fast, try as she might to move on—with new friends, steady work, and a chiseled alpha male trying to get her attention. Even though Rory’s more than a little intense, she can’t deny that her heart beats faster when he looks at her with those soulful silver eyes. Clare thought she was done with love, but Rory might just be man enough to show her she thought wrong.

Such a good read.
 Hope you enjoy it too.

The Abduction of Julia (Rogues #1) by Karen Hawkins

This book had me at the first paragraph. Its a good read makes you laugh out loud at some of the thing the hero says.

Alec MacLean, Viscount of Hunterston, must marry or he will lose the inheritance left to him by his grandfather. But the will specify that he must marry the daughter of the Earl of Coverington. There's a problem he has the wrong girl.

" Perhaps there would be some benefits from this arrangement, after all. “You smell like heaven. Kiss me, sweet Therese.” She kicked him. Hard. “Owww!” Alec yelled, instantly releasing her. He bent to rub his shin. And froze. One of the many things his vain bride-to-be prided herself on was her dainty feet. The shoes that met his eyes were not dainty. Large and tightly laced, the heavy black boots reminded him of his old governess. The implication hit him like a cannon shot. This wasn’t Therese. He had eloped with the wrong woman. He straightened abruptly, the pain in his shin forgotten. “Who in the hell are you?” “I might ask you the same question,” his prim attacker stated."

Julia Frant also known as "The Frant Dragon" is livid to find that not only was she kidnapped but also mistaken for her beautiful cousin by none other than the Devil Hunterston. But together they hatch a plan to get the inheritance but will it be more than they both bargin for.

Alec is a rogue and rake and I absolutely loved him. He just so wrong that it seems so right. *sighs*

“Pleasure is so many things, Julia. A waltz on a balcony under the caress of the moon. The thrill of placing a bet you know will win.” His voice lowered. “The hint of mint in the air after a spring rain.” “The highest form of pleasure makes your heart thrum so hard, you wonder if it will expire from too much feeling, too much sensation. It is more than a kiss.” “More than a kiss? Heavens,” she said faintly. Behind her spectacles, her eyes seemed unfocused, her breathing rapid and shallow. Alec trailed his fingers along the line of her cheekbone just below the rim of her spectacles. “As you can see, maraschino jelly doesn’t even compare.”

Alec is sensual mastermind I don't how Julia did it but he would of had me on on my back with that seductive monologue. I know, I know you don't have to say i,t I'm hero whore. Its okay though we all have our flaws.

Trolling Nights by Savannah J. Frierson.

For as long as there have been Trolling Nights, Bevin Moore has been the unofficial official Gatekeeper for her group of friends, the Femme Crew. She is always the designated driver and always makes sure the ladies do not leave the premises with someone she considers a loser. Bevin takes her job very seriously, even if she doesn't like Trolling Nights in the first place. Yet on one particular Trolling Night, she's completely unaware someone has, finally, chosen her. Navy SEAL Timothy Capshaw has no problem going after what he wants; and from the moment he sees Bevin sitting alone and sentry-like in a booth, he is intrigued by her. After one dance, Tim knows he wants her. How will he convince Bevin he is the man she hasn't known she's been looking for and that the need for her Trolling Nights is over?

This book was amazing. This book is the kind of stories I enjoy, I felt so apart of what was happening that it felt real. The book came to life for me and it was so beautiful, raw, and sweet. I'm amazed at how much this book has not only grabbed my attention but my heart. The characters were amazing it's like they themselves are intertwined so well that the story just unfold right before your eyes. It was filled with so much love and heart. There are few books in this world that just absolutely lives and when you find one it alters your perception of love, of life, and being. *sighs*

 Brava!! Ms. Savannah J. Frierson.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Never Been Kissed (Never Been #1) by C.M. Kars

SWOON!!!!! I looooooove it! Omg this book was amazeballs!! I can't even describe this book. And the ending omg!! Brought tears to my eyes. I loved the hero and the little hero also(you'll understand what I mean). The heroine was funny and witty but her low self-esteem sometimes annoyed me.

Description:
"Sera Delos has a secret.
She wishes it were something important or life-altering like owning a key to a blue Police Box that’s home to a time-travelling alien, or that she must hide the secret identity of her alter-ego.
No, Sera’s secret is un-extraordinary. At twenty-five, she’s never been kissed. There just haven’t been many opportunities for the self-proclaimed nerd. There have always been too many shows to watch, too many books to read, and the rest of the time is spent fangirling over Tom Hiddleston.
When the hottie next door and his son need a ride to the hospital, and Sera becomes the only available driver, her life is changed forever. Hunter MacLaine makes Dean Winchester seem like a mediocre-badass, even if he is a diabetic and doesn’t think much of himself.
An old flame, nerdy references and the ups and downs of slowly falling in love with her next door neighbour, Sera’s wondering the obvious. Maybe, just maybe, if all the nerd-gods are smiling down on her, Sera Delos might have just found the man who her first kiss belongs to."

But over all a grrrreat read with amazing characters and a lovely story.
And I'm happy that I was to read it
Hope you enjoy it, too.
