I Wish I Knew This Earlier Lessons on Love by Toni Tone

We’ve all been on promising dates that left us feeling worse in the long run, suffered from breakups we might have mishandled, or stayed in relationships which should have worked but didn’t. So what are we missing?

Don’t panic! Toni Tone is here to give the big sister advice we all need: discovering what we want from a connection, flourishing through heartbreak, and learning the vital importance of difficult conversations for growth and self-respect. Speaking from a place of experience and empathy, she talks through the value of intuition, asking questions, and taking responsibility for the choices we make, offering practical, simple advice to improve any relationship, and insight into our own behaviours.

From comfort zones and goal setting to healthy boundaries and keeping yourself centred, Toni offers the loving, healing and authentic common sense lessons that aren’t so common.

It may just change your life

Such a helpful read, on dating, loving yourself before you could love someone else, and healing from heartbreak. It's the Author’s point of view but good advice for those of us trying to understand more about ourselves and love. It gives the vibe of listening to your older sister talking about her life experiences on dating. Its a good read, if you are in that mindset of change.

And as always Happy Reading!! :)

Queen of Vampire Hearts (Fated Loves Book 1) by Jeanette Rose

A Woman Fleeing Persecution...
Phoebe Atreus is a witch on the run, her carefully crafted rules have kept her alive for the last decade, each one a product of a hard learned lesson. Rule Number One? Trust No One. She's been betrayed one time too many to put her faith in anyone else's hands. Even if the legendary vampire king might be the one person who could protect her from the enemies always one step behind.

A Man Whose Abandonment Issues Span Thousands of Years...
Lucien Silvano has been king of the vampires for the last ten thousand years, he's fought in wars that have been reduced to legend, rescued damsels in distress, seduced said damsels, and moved on. Immortal life has become a never-ending battle against boredom. Nothing has truly stirred his interest in years, except her. She's the exception to every rule, his Queen, his mate, the one-person Fate declared to be his. The problem? She wants nothing to do with him.

What could possibly go wrong?
Phoebe refuses to share her past with Lucien, pushing him away at every opportunity, yet unable to resist the chemistry that explodes whenever they are together. Forced back to his castle in Romania to live as his Queen, she starts to forget the rules that have kept her safe, until the secrets Lucien has been hiding remind her why she created the rules in the first place.

An ARC from netgalley/publisher for an honest review,

The story grabs you from the beginning. You literally are grabbed through the main male character, Lucien’s boredom of life after living for so long. He is literally planning to go to war just to alleviate his boredom when he meets the main female character, Phoebe. Then chaos begins. What I love about the story is how funny and colorful phoebe is compared to Lucien. But he’s your typical Alpha male. My issues with the story was the lack of communication. There were three issues hanging over their heads. Two could have been handle if they just talked like honestly but your cards on the table talk. The third need to continue to build the story up more but the first two could help them understand each other more throughout the story especially after the first brush with death. Just my opinion. Other than that, it was a good story. I’m interested in seeing where the author goes with book two. Will it remain with these characters? Or from another’s the point of view?

Hope you enjoy it.

And as always Happy Reading!!

Happy New Year!

It's a new year and like everyone I want to challenge myself. I have been thinking about doing this challenge for years and never had the guts to do it because it's a little crazy. But at last, when something is stuck in your head and heart to do, you just got to do it. My challenge for myself this year is to read a book a day. That means by the end of this year I would have read 365 books and that is a lot of books.  But it is such a fun thing to do. Am I being optimistic? Yes. Do I believe I could do it? Yes. If I do end up not making the goal, would it hurt or make me sad? No, I might be frustrated but upset? no. I am just excited to do it. I'm not going to review every book I read but some will definitely be up here.

Are you doing a challenge this year? If so, what is it? Please leave your answers in the comment below.
Oh! I am also taking book recommendations; you can leave that in the comments also.

And as always Happy Reading!!!
